Need-based aid, year after year
- Who it’s forBoston kids in grades K–12 in Hill House classes, athletics, and summer camps.
- Who qualifiesAny family can apply by sharing income statements or recent W-2s. Families who receive benefits, like free or reduced school lunch or Medicaid, can share proof of those instead.
- How families applyOne application per family, once a year. Families then let Hill House know which programs they’d like to join, so there are fewer forms and fewer barriers.
- The long viewOur goal is to support the same child for many years, so families can count on Hill House year after year.

Kids from every corner of Boston
Hill House exists to build a strong sense of community across Boston, and the scholarship program puts that mission into practice. Families can apply on their own, and six partner schools and organizations help bring even more kids into the same gyms, classrooms, and fields.

In their words
“Every time we welcome a new family through the Scholarship Program, we’re investing in a child’s growth, confidence, and future. By removing barriers and breaking down fences, we open the gate for children in every Boston neighborhood to step into their ‘backyard in the city.’”
Jamie KellyDirector of Operations and Programs
“We want Hill House to be more than the closest backyard in the city. We want it to be the backyard families choose, the place children grow, and the place neighbors help one another thrive.”
