Meet Our Staff
From athletics to enrichment, our staff brings passion, expertise, and heart to everything they do at Hill House.
Adriana moved into her role of Senior Instructor for Enrichment Programs in November of 2019. She began her Hill House run in 2012 as a playgroup facilitator and has since been a jack of all trades, teaching tumbling, art, science and cooking. Her classes are taught in both English and Spanish, providing a multilingual classroom for Hill House kids. She has also been a part of Kiddie Kamp since the summer, starting as a counselor and currently serving as Team Leader. Adriana loves spending her time with the Hill House kids, watching them laugh, learn and grow. She sees every class as a unique experience and especially loves seeing families outside of the Firehouse and being able to say hi to them in the neighborhood.
Originally from Mexico, Adriana currently lives in the West End with her husband and son (Emiliano). She loves to cook, read, and walk around the city and Charles River.
Betsy joined the Hill House team in June of 2025. She grew up attending and working at summer camps, so she is very excited to return to the camp world. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, she moved to Maine to attend Colby College, where she earned her BA in Global Studies, Cultural Anthropology, and French. She has worked in several nonprofits in Chicago, Maine, and France, and is excited to bring her experience to Hill House.
Betsy loves spending time with kids and is excited to support the wonderful programs Hill House offers year-round. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Boston, playing volleyball, crocheting, and being outdoors.
Jamie Kelly joined Hill House in fall 2022 and serves as Interim Deputy Director, overseeing youth programs and summer camp offerings. Originally from Newbury, Massachusetts, Jamie holds a BA in International Relations, French, and Spanish from Beloit College in Wisconsin. While at Beloit, Jamie played varsity tennis — an experience that led to a role as a junior tennis professional in Newburyport, MA after graduation. Jamie's career path naturally evolved into youth programming and summer camp leadership, where she discovered a mission-driven alignment with Hill House's focus on community and enrichment for young people. Summer camp season is Jamie's favorite time of year, and she looks forward each June to welcoming campers and families through Hill House's doors.
Jamie lives in Jamaica Plain and enjoys traveling, hiking in Vermont, and spending time with her dog Remi, and family and friends.
John joined Hill House as Senior Athletics Coordinator in September 2021. He is no stranger to Hill House, having coached for the organization and helped with summer camp since 2016. He graduated from Emerson College in 2017 with a major in Sports Communication and a minor in Nonprofit Management. As a former preschool and after-school teacher at the Advent School, John has always been passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children. He first joined Hill House Athletics to help coach flag football but has since been involved with soccer, basketball, and much more. He loves helping children in every program discover a lifelong passion for athletics.
Outside of Hill House, John enjoys reading, storytelling, and playing board games with friends — far too competitively.
Patty joined Hill House in November 2014 and brings over 30 years of experience in the accounting field. While raising two daughters in Manchester-by-the-Sea, she was actively involved in several nonprofit organizations on the North Shore. She held the position of Treasurer in her daughters' cooperative preschool Magic Years, Treasurer of The Manchester Mother's Club, The Manchester PTO, and was instrumental in the start-up of The Parents of Manchester Essex Middle School. More recently, she has spent several years as an independent consultant of small business accounting management, specializing in QuickBooks.
In her leisure time, Patty enjoys quality time with her family, home renovation, traveling, skiing, boating, tennis, and has recently taken up golf.
Ryan joined the Hill House team as an Athletics Coordinator in October 2022. Originally from South Florida, Ryan graduated from Rollins College with a BS in Business Management. No stranger to the world of athletics, he played multiple sports growing up and went on to play collegiate baseball. Ryan has extensive knowledge and passion for baseball and all sports, and is eager to help kids gain a similar passion for athletics. He looks forward to sharing his love for sports with the Hill House community while supporting the athletic and character development of children.
In his spare time, he likes playing video games and spending time with his siblings as part of his relocation to Boston.
Tara joined Hill House in October of 2023. She is originally from Southwest Florida and attended the University of Florida where she graduated in 2022 with a BS in Family, Youth and Community Sciences with a minor in Nonprofit Leadership. Her background includes working at Community Foundations and volunteering with nonprofits such as American Red Cross, United Way, and Aces in Motion. She also spent many years as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and camp counselor, and grew up competing in speed and synchronized swimming.
Tara relocated to Boston from England in Fall 2023 and outside of Hill House coaches synchronized swimming at Boston University. In her free time, she likes spending time with family and friends, reading, and traveling.
Helen joined the Hill House team in October of 2025. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Helen moved to Boston to attend Emerson College and is currently pursuing a BA in Media Arts Production. Helen grew up volunteering for nonprofits back home in Half Moon Bay, CA — from the senior center to the local community theatre. She loves working with kids and is a seasoned babysitter who worked as an Adventure Guide at Adventures in Writing camp in Summer 2025.
Outside of Hill House, Helen is the VP of a sketch troupe at Emerson called The Girlie Project, which uplifts female and non-binary voices in comedy. When she's not at rehearsals, you can find her baking, writing, thrifting, or watching old movies.
