Community Outreach
We are always looking for ways to connect children, families and neighbors in the Downtown Boston area through social and community service activities.Hill House Outreach Program (H.H.O.P.)
The Hill House Outreach Program is a volunteer committee dedicated to connecting the community through service. Together, HHOP hosts collection drives, serves meals at various soup kitchens and coordinates year-round outreach efforts alongside other nearby, non-profit organizations.
Senior Dinners
On the third Tuesday of each month, Hill House prepares and serves dinner to approximately 40 senior citizens at 74 Joy Street. The meals require 2 hours of volunteer work by 4-7 people. Dinners begin at 5:30pm. Volunteers and donors may choose to get involved in many different ways. Meals can be sponsored or baked, delivered and served. If your family or an affiliated organization is interested in becoming involved with our monthly senior dinners, please reach out to Alexandra Curry, Marketing & Community Relations Associate!
Friday FriendsThis social and community service group is open to all local kids ages 11-15. Activities are held the second or third Friday of each month from 7:00-9:00pm and combine service with socializing. They include seasonal dances, movie nights and our annual Teen Challenge.
Community Events
Through these events, we invite you to get to know your neighbors. Join us in the fall for our free Pancake Breakfast, and in the spring for the Backyard Dash, a family fun run and community picnic. Enjoy a cup of cider and sing carols at our annual Holiday Tree & Wreath Sale or make seasonal crafts to celebrate Halloween and Valentine's Day.
